Vitamins & Dietary Supplements

An organic molecule known as a vitamin or a group of molecules with similar chemical properties, or "vitamins" is a crucial micronutrient that a living thing must have in small amounts for the proper operation of its metabolism. The body cannot produce essential nutrients, either completely or in adequate amounts, thus they must be received through diet. A dietary supplement is a manufactured good that is taken as a pill, capsule, tablet, powder, or liquid to enhance one's diet. To boost the amount of nutrients consumed, a supplement can contain nutrients that have been taken from dietary sources or that are synthetic.
